Tepid Spring (like a hot spring, but cooler) is an alternative art rock band from Edmonton, Alberta (Treaty 6 Territory). The band snowballed from frontperson alexa's ("AL3X4") singer-songwriter project into a CASUAL ensemble in LATE 2023, and has since morphed INTO A SEMI-REGULAR LINEUP WITH GREG TURNER ("Teacup romance," "wayfinder") ON BASS, JONATHAN WEBSTER ("Striker," “oceans under stars”) JOINING ON DRUMS, and RORY TURNER ON KEYS.
the act aims to grace intimate venues with immersive, engaging live music experiences adapted to suit each show THROUGH FLUID USE OF COSTUMING & MUSICAL ARRANGEMENT. we can electrify as a 4-piece, or strip things all the way back to play a solo acoustic performance.
between late 2025 & early 2026, Tepid spring released three studio-recorded singles featuring sounds of chipper rage and solace on all streaming services. singles “give//take” & “stumbling block” have received radio spins on various shows on cjsr 88.5 fm, including "labelicious" radio with nathaniel sutton (2026) & “cjsr events calendar” (2025, 2026). we were also thrilled to have had “give//take” played on CBC Radio One's “Key of A” with tarik robinson (2025).
the group has future schemes to one day break out past LOCAL/provincial airwaves and broaden our reach. our major goal is ultimately to keep improving on the art, and to keep innovating in order to stay in strong competition with our past selves.
